I am getting ready to file I-864 for my parents. I have some questions so requesting to provide some clarifications please.

1. I am suppose to file I-864, no numbers or letters after 864, is it right? If not what is the form number please?

2. If I am suppose to file I-864 then question 8 should be answered as Yes, and question 9 NO check mark.

My situation as follow:

I am US Citizen, and inviting my parents. I have filed two separate petitions for each hence there will be two separate I-864 and they will be the prinicipal immigrant. So question 9 will be left unchecked because it states 'Do not include any relative listed on a sperate visa petition.' Since my mom had a separate petition do not include. I am also sponsering my brother on visitor visa and filiing I-134 who is applying sometimes this month in local consulate at over sea. Since his petition is also separate do not include his name.

then the question 3.

Do I need to inform NVC of me sponsering my brother on visitor visa, and do I need to inform local consulate of me sponsering my parents? if so how? is it question 9 and 10 on I-134?

If your income is below poverty guidelines then you need to find co-sponsor and you will file I-864 and the co-sponsor will file I-864a. Here is the link to check poverty guidelines..

Yes, you are correct for both 8 and 9. Put NONE on 9.

Good Luck! Thanks, Raj
