Question

The post office returned my sons rfe's as undeliverable back to the USCIS and I called them to verify my address and

this was on March 15th. The Uscis said they cant give me anymore updates for another 45 days.

Has anyone had this happen before to them?

I am worried because these are time sensitive and you only have 87 days to send bank the information that they need.

Does it really take 45days for the uscis to send you back out the documents needed?

Thanks

Its common for this to happen if you didnt have the boys name on the Post office list or in your mail box. Check with the Post office to see that all names at the residence are on file. Make sure all names are inside mail box.

USCIS will attempt to resend the RFE automaticaly. If you want to take action rather than wait use USCIS web site to make INFO PASS appointment to go see them in person. They will make sure the RFE is re-sent. You may be able to submit the required info at thier office so take it with you.

Thanks for the reply. I dont know what information they need because I haven't seen the Rfe request that was sent back to the Uscis from the Postal service. I called the Uscis and they said I cant make an info pass till I receive the Rfe? I dont understand today is April 1st and I called on March 15th to have sent back out that they say they haven't sent it back to me yet. I guess it is all in there hands and if I miss the deadline to return the information I will have to find further action to take. I just cant believe I got all the other papers including the biometrics appointment and that the Rfe is the one that gets returned!!

It really doesnt sound to automatic that it is sent back out.

It wouldnt help to know what they want without the RFE because you have to return the RFE letter with the required docs.

I went thru this with our daughters papers. I went to USCIS Info pass meeting. They told me they automaticly re-send returned docs. They also said it would take about 60 days to re-send the docs after they notified their own internal office. Two days later the docs arrived!

You do not need the RFE to make an Info Pass appt. Make the appointment. At the meeting they can help you understand what needs to be done. Dont worry about the experation date ( 87 days ). Just send in the info asap or go to see them. You cant respond to what you dont have & they know that.
