Renewed Passport and trying to buy tickets to Philippines

Hey all,

My wife just renewed her passport in San Francisco 2 weeks ago since her old one expired. I remember seeing something about a new passport number being assigned, is that true? The question I ask is because I am trying to book a flight to the Philippines on EVA Air and it is asking for her passport number. I don't know if they change the passport numbers for sure or not. If they do change the number, do you think I could I put her old passport number in the box? Trying to book the flight for May and request time off from work, but now I am not certain because her passport wont be released until April 29. Anyone have any answers? I tried calling EVA Air but kept getting people who barely spoke recognizable English and I don't even think they understood what I was talking about.

If only a renewed passport I don't think it will change?

Contact the Passport Section of the Consulate at (415) 433-6666 extension 315, 317 or 340, from Mondays to Fridays (except on US and Philippine Holidays), between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. You may also fax in your inquiries through (415) 421 2641 or send an e-mail to sanfranciscopcg2004@yahoo.com.
