Since the I-485 gets mailed to the National Visa Center you want want to check this link out as it's instructions are a little different.

My wife and I decided to get married spontaneously 3 months after her arrival on a visitor visa. On the I-485 Part 2 Application type, which box/category would I choose as the basis of eligibility in regards to adjustment to permanent resident status? I had marked (h) other basis of eligibility, Marriage-US citizen but I did not explain. They sent it back to us with the explanation on the I-797C that the following fields were not completed. Should we have used another choice? Thank you for your help! Colin and Nicole
