All,

My wife worked in Singapore under her previous married name. She was later annulled and her passport is now new and in our last name. She must retrieve a police certificate from Singapore for her IV Package. I understand Singapore will need a copy of the letter from the NVC stating the immigration need for this certificate. Singapore will also mail the certificate back to the country of request within two weeks as stated on the Singapore Police website.

Does anyone have any insight or experience as to what we can do to avoid additional delays and where this report will actually be sent? Embassy? NVC? My Spouse?

All responses relating to SINGAPORE POLICE CERTIFICATE would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

This is a reply to my original Post.

My wife is at her Interview as I type this. The Singapore Police Certificate can NOT be obtained until you receive Packet 3 from the NVC. You will need to send a copy of the cover letter with the required documents. The CNCC website for the certificate says the certificate will be mailed directly to the Consulate requesting. However, My wife's ex-boss in Singapore was delighted to help her obtain her certificate and retrieved it 2 weeks later. He mailed it directly to my wife in Manila and she sent it to the NVC. A few days later we became complete.

Good Luck. Hope this helps.
