Ok so i have my interview soon and obviously getting everything together.

My fiancee can't support me so have a co-sponsor, so got all of his tax returns and everything he needs, is it vital he needs to provide me with his W2's? I understand they are his wage and tax return form his job right. Do London ask for this specifically? Or are they only interested at looking at the I-134 and seeing him earn enough?

But do have everything else form him and myself ready for the interview jus this lil point i was wondering about, cause i don't have his W2's.

Thanks for all help

If the joint sponsor can submit IRS tax transcripts, then the W2 and other supporting docs aren't needed. If he is submitting just a copy of the 1040 that was submitted, then yes, you will need any related W2s. This is why I think tax transcripts are easier (no extra bits of paper to keep up with!).

1040 is the form you actually fill out and submit to the IRS to file your taxes each year. A tax transcript is a print out you can get from the IRS is a line by line transcript of the information on that 1040, including information from all related tax forms (namely the W2). Since it contains all the relevant information, there's no need to include a copy of the W2. But if he just provided a copy of the 1040, then they want to see the accompanying W2s, etc.

My guess is he only sent you the 1040 and did not request a transcript from the IRS.

I managed to find a link to a photo of a transcript (the person blanked out their personal information).

The ones I have look slightly different but you get the jist.

Sorry for late reply, thnaks so much for the info, think will get him to send just the tax transcript as it looks way easier to sort out and even i can read it.

So just so i know what i am looking at, what figure on the example form you showed me needs to be the one that has to be high? Is it the adjusted gross income?

Thanks a million again
