Hello Everyone,

First of all so happy to find this website. So many useful and helpful information.

I am Russian with Uzbekistan passport, BUT I live and work in Thailand for almost 2 years. My fiance is an American.

We just filed our K1 to USCIS and waiting for our lawyer to send us reference number. We asked to let me be interviewed at US Embassy in BKK and not to go back home. I have a job here and cannot just pack up and leave. I was wondering if anybody went through similar process or maybe someone knows some helpful information about this?

I worry about time line as well. My fiance is going to be deployed again in December this year to Afghanistan for minimum one year. Do you think I will be able to get to US before that? I know each case is different and it all varies. But we are worried very very much.

We would really appreciate anybody's input in this.

Thank you so much in advance.
