How soon after entering the US on K-1 will its recipient be able to travel back to home country?

The K1 is a single-entry visa. You must get married within 90 days of entry and then ideally should begin adjusting your status. You can request Advanced Parole to travel while your papers are in-process. More members can outline your other options. The main point is that you have to be in the process of obtaining your adjusted status or obtain special permission, both of which require having been married within the 90 days of entry. If you leave prior to doing this, you will be denied entry if you attempt to return. I know that some VJers have had family emergencies, ect. There is a way to deal with this, and others will be along to add their insight.
