hello,

I'm getting ready to apply for citizenship based on 3 yrs of marriage. here is what I've so far:

1. photocopy of Green card(both sides)

2. two passport size photos labelled with pen on back

3. check of $675

4. copy of my wife's US passport(inside cover & signature)

5. IRS tax transcripts of 2006, 2007, 2008

6. copy of marriage certificate

7. filled N-400 form

Am i missing anything else? labeling photos with pen instead of pencil, will that matter? its just that pencil will not write well on back of photos.

Also I opened the envelopes that contained tax transcripts, i hope they will still accept them? and lastly how would you recommend i send the package through? appreciate your help!

If you have children together, you can include a copy of the birth certificate(s) - but you don't need to.

I am not sure about the pen/pencil, but I would do exactly as they ask...

About opening the transcripts envelope, it is absolutely OK. Some people request transcripts to be faxed and they put those in with their evidence, so there is not problem there.

Good luck with your final stage of your journey!

8. Copy of spouse’s vital records

9. Copy of applicant’s vital records
