Abu Dhabi Affidavit of Support

A relative is going through the K1 visa process through the Abu Dhabi embassy. She asked my wife if the I-134 was needed? Evidently, her fiancee called the USCIS, (which has nothing to do with the DOS?), and was told they would not need an Affidavit of Support until Adjustment of Status.

I am very familiar with the Manila Embassy, but no I-134 is counter intuitive from my experience. The Department of State writes, "Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support may be requested.)" Source

There is little information on the Abu Dhabi Embassy here on VJ and no K1 visa information on their Embassy website.

Can someone with experience tell me if the Abu Dhabi Embassy requires an I-134?

Hopefully, since it is a weekday someone with visa exerience at Abu Dhabi will reply.

When I submitted my I-129F Petition I submitted I-134 Form with it. I was not sure if it was required or not but I did it anyway. Also my fiance had his interview in the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi on February 7th. The Packet3/4 that we received stated that I-134 IS REQUIRED. I would definitely fill one out. Its better to have too much that not enough.

Unfortunately my fiance was place on Administrative Processing... Day 38...

If you have any questions just send me a message and I will give you all the information I can about the interview process.

Thanks,

Cherrine
