Hi All

Tell me if I should be getting worried. I know Vermont is taking longer to process K1 NOA2 than California but I am seeing were some couples are receiving their NOA2 and they submitted their application to Vermont after us. I have been checking if our application has been touched and it was only once on the 17th Jan 2010.

We received our NOA1 on the 13th Jan 2010.

Hope someone could put my mind to rest. Kathy

Kathy I understand & know how frustrating it is to see others receiving the NOA2's before you get yours especially when or if they filed after you. We waited for what seemed an eternity but eventually it did show up. I had noticed Vermont was processing slower the California and I do not understand the rhyme or reason or behind it. Have faith --it will not be much longer I am sure *hugs*

Yeah, Kathy, hang in, we are all behind you with our wishes.

Thank you all for your grats and grats to all of you too.

Terri, i'm so jealous. :) but ever so happy for you. I know it just takes time then it will be the

beginning of something wonderful too.

My doctor has been really good. went to him for a non-visa related reason and he whipped out my blood

results, printed them all off, and suggested i get HepB and the fluvax before going.

The Hep B is a three needle set. The first one i had on the 15th April, the second one has to be a month so

its on the 15th May and the third is suppose to be in 6 months, but under the circumstances i can have it early.

Just means i will have to have a 4th one at some stage.

My mum also suggested i get my eye sight tested before i go as it was free.

that way if i needed glasses i could arrange it before i go. So i got a copy of the report from the

optometrist as well. Of course not needed for the visa, but its there.

Well nothing else to report, no sign of NOA2 but going by visajourneys estimate, it should be around 28th april onwards.

before i go, Kathy, how did you know that your file had been "touched"?

BTW Terri, how did you present all your documentation for the consulate.

I have all relavent docs in a folder atm.

Not sure if i can leave them that way or need to "staple" them .

I will at least leave the originals/copies in the folder and take with me just in case.

Cheers and thank you

Ok in regards to seeing if you had been touched -- go to the USCIS website & sign up for updates..when you log in you can see the date your case was last touched.

I presented all my stuff in a ring binder folder....not the big lever arch one though. I had everything in those plastic sleeves so it was protected...when I sent the original documentation in with packet 3 (birth certificates, divorce decrees, police check etc) that way they were not mixed with stuff they needed to keep in the file. I lugged it all to interview & they didn't even look at it but without it they would have wanted to see it.

Oh cool, thank you Terri

Well VisaJourney predicted we should hear something by the 28th and they were close

Chris checked the USCIS site and it had that an RFE had been sent on the 29th

OMG lets hope its nothing major, Chris thinks maybe he sent a copy instead of an original

but who knows. Lucky I hadn't planned on going until after the baby is born, but still

makes me worried at what they need. Damn this is so frustrating.

Anyhow how is everyone else going? Any news yet?

To let you know what was happening when I was waiting for my K1, I was at CSC, and Vermont were cranking out approvals in a month, sometimes less. California seemed to be standing still! The two service centers seem to swap back and forth as to who is processing petitions quicker. Our NOA1 was August 5, and when the approvals started rolling out for August, I was one of the last to get mine. Also, my case didn't get a touch until the approval. Just hang in there!! You are almost there :)

Ok, nothing to worry about.

Its seems that when we put in the package, we read it that they only wanted the last Divorce paper.

(Well we at least thought that if we were divorced a second time we had to be divorced the first time)

Well we were wrong. The RFE was for our Decre Nisi for both our first marriages. Doh!

Anyways, Chris is sending them off today 5th May (American time) registered post.

We want to make sure it gets there. :)

And we are hoping since this is all they asked for that everything else in the app. is A O K

So fingers crossed we hear again from them soon.

Kathy any word yet. Hope so.

Hey lovelies,

We were approved (yay!) on the 22nd of April, but the NVC have still not received our petition (boo) and so once again we are in immigration limbo, so to speak. As the NVC have been telling Matt, it takes up to 15 business days to receive a petition - three and a half weeks later and they've finally told us to scan through and email our NOA2 to them and they'll apparently look into what on earth could be holding it up. I'm trying to get a move on with the things I need to get together on my end, rereading forms I'll need for the consulate, getting my police check done, things like that. Unfortunately I can't do much in terms of my medical, because we need a case number for that up here in Queensland. I don't know if I'd rather that the USCIS have lost/misplaced our case or that it's been eaten by the black hole of bureaucracy. I guess they're the same thing, haha. But all in all, we're just staying positive. At least we know we have been approved and my rough moving-to-the-US timeline is still in place, as I'd like to be going come September. It gives us both more time to save money, and I've just been given a promotion at work so I'd like to give that a few months worth of my time. If anything, this process has made both Matt and I more sure than ever that being together is 125% what we want. If we get through immigration/AOS, I think we can get through anything. I hope everyone is going well - so excited for you and your gorgeous little boy, Jaime!

Hey Zoe! That is great news, congratulations!! :)

That sucks about needing the case number for your medical though. Would be nice to just get it all done now, so that as soon as your packet 3 arrives, you can mail it off quicksmart!

Oh and thankyou! 9 more days and we will be boarding that plane (F)
