No, I think the quote from Limbaugh was quite clear. I don't see how it could be misconstrued. Limbaugh is laughing at the effort put into getting this funding while denegrating the people who are being put out of a job for an unspecified period of time for no reason other than a senator trying to score political points. It's a cheap shot that government employees are a waste. I get it. ha.ha.

The quote is just one snippet...unless you saw/heard it firsthand, I think it's a bit shortsighted to take a slanted article with a blurb of a quote and get the full picture. *shrug* but to each his own.

How can that possibly be taken out of context? Maybe because I listen to Rush occasionally, I have a bit of perspective regarding his humor and style. None the less, this quote is fairly straight forward, and very indicative of his views that he espouses regularly.

Just speaking generally, and not Rush-specific, tone does not convey in text form. Nor does snipping full sentences without the full conversation.

I could take your post above, for instance, and quote 'Maybe because I listen to Rush occasionally, I have a bit of perspective regarding his humor and style.' While that is what you said, verbatim, wouldn't that snippet give off a different implication than what you meant?
