Got to Dr. Seiden's office about 6:15am and there was already 3 people ahead of us (myself and my 2 kids). Doors opened about 6:35am, we sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes before being called. We were taken into a room to pay and give passports. Went to xray from that room. After xray waited about 5 minutes in a hallway before being taken in a room where our height, weight and and blood pressure was checked. I went to get my blood work from there, kids got there eye exams. Once that was done we waited for the Doctor to do exams and check vaccine records. We were out of the office around 8:30am.

Everyone was super friendly. Back to get results on Friday.

Sorry if I missed anything I have been up since 3:45.

My hubby is at his medical at Medisys Montreal as we speak. He's not a big detail guy, so I'll see what he comes back with. So far he got there at 1:15 (appointment at 1:30) there was 10 people in front of him to check in, but names are being called fast. His biggest complaint so far, is that parking is $3.50 every 20 minutes $20 Max. I told him to go early to find good parking...

Yeah, Seiden does the medicals really early. Be prepared to be there for two to three hours since it's first come first served.

Edit: This is actually Spoom posting, I didn't realize my wife had logged in on my lappy :P

My fiance will have hers done in Toronto when the time comes.....

What all do they check during the medical?

Does it get really 'personal' at all with what's checked out?

My fiance is not a big fan of the idea of having a male doctor mess with her and has always had a female doctor do everything.....

The doctor took vaccine records, listen to my chest checked stomach, glands, and a female nurse did the rest of the exam. A woman did xray and had a man took my blood.

so they don't do a 'full' physical exam then?

Nope. they may peek in her undies to make sure she really is a she, but no internal exam at all.

Gotcha.

Yeah, she's not a fan of male doctors peeking/poking/prodding, so it's good to know they have females around too to do such things if necesary.

Sounds like it's not an issue though :)

I had a female Dr. do my exam and a female still did all the actual touching and examining. They check for breast lumps, they push on the stomach area in a few spots and that was pretty much it. I didn't even take my undie off and they didn't even peek or anything. It's really nothing to stress about!

I could look up my review, because I don't remember much. I never really had issues with having a male doctor. But I DO remember not having any kind of external genital exam, and I possibly did not have a breast exam. They checked lymph nodes on neck, blood presssure.. um.

I kept joking before the medical that I was going off to have the US government examine my private parts

But that really didn't happen. It's a big "MAY"

I had a male MD interview me, take my blood pressure and do a quick physical (nothing under the gown though.) I then had a female nurse do the breast exam. Very quick and painless.

I just had mine done few days ago. The Dr. told me, everything is normal with the tests and vaccines. However, he returned my note with the record of vaccines. Did he make a mistake not including "actual note" in the report he will make for me to take to interview. Also, I was not asked to do any eye exam (I am 29 years old). Can someone confirm? Thank you
