Yes, she was pretty tiny but yes very cute.

Oh so you been here for awhile. What state you guys in if you dont mind me asking?

I hope we will be able to fly through NVC. We do have an attorney so thats helps with paperwork & making sure they are correct of the bet. May will be a year since he has been done :crying:

We are in California but have sorta moved to New York for hubby's work. We went through the CSC though since that's where we were at the time.

By the way, do check *carefully* what the lawyers tell you - I had a 2 year home residency requirement and the lawyer told us we couldn't apply for an immigrant visa until that was sorted... turned out that wasn't entirely true and we lost a lot of time :( If your case is straightforward though, that shouldn't be an issue, ours was more involved so I had to learn way too much about all the paperwork and what not :)

Pay attention, NVC noobs. Here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

Suggestions:

1) Have the beneficiary mail SIGNED extra DS230s to you so that you have them handy in case something goes wrong. Or you get hit by a dreaded RFE.

2) If you just received your NOA2, THIS is the time to get your tax stuff and police certificates sorted out. Don't waste time on this.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-4 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-4 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

3-5 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

5-7 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

03/27/2009: Engaged in Ithaca, New York.
08/17/2009: Wedding in Calcutta, India.
09/29/2009: I-130 NOA1
01/25/2010: I-130 NOA2
03/23/2010: Case completed.
05/12/2010: CR-1 interview at Mumbai, India.
05/20/2010: US Entry, Chicago.
03/01/2012: ROC NOA1.
03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

Gosh, I SOOOO understand how frustrating it is to have a 2YHRR!!! I've been living with it until a couple of weeks ago, we just got a waiver. Our issue was that an attorney told us we couldn't get any immigration benefits until 2YHRR was either fulfilled or waived, when in reality he was talking about Adjustment of Status that couldn't be filed. It turns out we still could file I-130 from within the US and then have an appointment in Moscow - we eventually filed it that way, but only after losing a bunch of time :(

Well, you know it's going to be over soon... :) and looking at your timeline and considering that you have someone else to look over all the forms (so hopefully no RFE's) you should have your interview in May or so! :)

When was the last time you wore there? And are you from

Moscow or?

Thank you! Our sweetheart looks exactually like her daddy. Dark hair, brown eyes and skin tone darker then mine (won't have to tan) I love it!

5?! Thank you for that new fact. :star:

On a side note, what do you guys and your spouses think about when to have children? Husby is under the impression that he's going to come here and not more than a year later we will have Husby Jr. to join our family.

Mine wants to wait 2 years :P

Ummm I hope not...look at that again. That is only for 2 classes of visas and they arent our classes right?

Petitioner Documents

Applicants in the following visa categories are required to provide 1) an original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s birth certificate and 2) original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.

Talked with an NVC operator last night... <fell asleep on the first one waiting> and she told me that with the DS-230 package that only the Benificary's information is included in it... so to not send in the divorce papers for me

Awww how sweet of him! My hubby has been wanting to send me & our daughter some jewelry but I was afraid of the package being open and stolen so I told him to just bring it with him. So if its send FedEx, I can receive it?

& Congrads on having your package out the door!!!!

yea, I dont see why not... he sends me things all the time... not to mention he is always sending the girls some earings/ anklets or something... Never had any issues mailing it over
