I tried to ask question in russian forum but did not get much of a response..

My future wife's name in english is Oksana..

Her Passort lists her name in russian letters as O-K-C-A-N-A, and then lists it again in english letters as O-X-A-N-A.

When I received my NOA1 they had it as Oksana.

I was not sure this was correct and I called USCIS after I had my NOA1 to inquire.. About a week later I recieved a letter from department of homeland security stating, "We have determined the name of the benefciary is correct, all the documents submited list the name as Oksana"..

So i forgot about it, and thought that was it.

But today i received my copy of the NOA2 approval, and it is in the name of O X S A N A, the mistaken combination of both names.. They changed the K to an X, or they put the S into the english translation.

again Passort OKCANA/ OXANA

Noa1 Oksana

Noa2 Oxsana

Ahh, is this going to be ok?

I called today to the Cal service center, and they said, they could change it but may cause a large delay. I asked them should i change it, and immigration officer said naaaa, just send her the letter from Homeland Security to show at interview...

Seems to me to be wierd advice. I have an NOA2 with her name OXSANA and a passport with the first name OKCAHA/ OXANA.

I know it is only one letter different, but won't her visa be in different name then her passport,, and how about Residencey Card, green card, marriage cert, etc...

What should I do, if you know..

1. Do nothing- and just forward letter

2. Change it at Cal Service Center even though they already forwarded NOA2 to it to National Service Center

3. Wait a couple days and ask about a possible change it at NSC

thanks

Mark
