hi, just want to ask those who just visited their fiancees in the philippines or anyone who knows..

my fiance just visited me this july and said that:

"they didn't stamp my passport comming back they stamped some imigration form they kept ..but have airport tax sticker from manila airport showing i left country"

is the airport tax sticker considered the exit stamp? or should they have stamped exit on his passport?

thank you

I was there in april and left on the 12th and they did stamp inside my passport.

That was the first thing they did when i was going through customs before going to the boarding gate.

I had to fill out a declerations form also but they did stamp my passport.

You should have an entry/exit stamp and that's normally what they do. I'm thinking that the airport tax sticker you're saying is the receipt for the terminal fee which really doesn't mean anything in my opinion. It can be anyone else's receipt, not necessarily his. But if he has boarding passes, that would be another evidence of the trip.

Hope that helps!

aixaix - That's odd! Use whatever you have to illustrate that you were there (Airline Ticket, Hotel Receipts, Copies of your sole stamp inside your passport). It should be OK, but that was definitely an oversight on the good folks at the airport.

gobdogman - We must have past each other in the air or at the airport becuase I arrived in the Phil on the 12th of April. LOL!

i don't think that is any big deal. just an oversight by the immigration officier. don't worry about it. don't delay submitting your petition because of it. if everything else is ready, submit it.
