I will soon submit the I129F with the biographic form and the affadavit of support plus other support materials. I have a co-sponser and am a little unclear about exactly what he needs to submit. And does he have to submit it with the initial fiancee form? Can he get by with I-134 or does he have to submit the full I-864 at this point? He has to include tax returns, W-2s, bank and employer statements (what kind of statement do you request from the bank? Is it a special kind?). Am I correct so far?

He has to provide proof of U.S. citizenship? If he has assets like a house, car, 401K etc. does he have to provide documentation proving these assets? Does he include these at this initial stage or can it wait? Do the forms and documents need to be notarized? (Is that true for the documents I provide as well?)

I know that's a whole assemblage of questions but I want to make sure I get everything lined up right as soon as possible. And though I keep reading books on the immigration procedure and posts on this site I never feel entirely confident that I have it all down in every detail.

Would appreciate any information about my initial application and what to tell my co-sponser as to what kind of forms he needs to fill out and submit, what kind of supporting documents and materials he needs to supply (and when in the process) and any other pertinent details he - and I - need to know in order to expedite this process.

Thank you in advance.

no affidavit of support with the initial filing... that is later at the consulate interview.

When the time comes it would be the I-134 not the I-864
