I-134 for active duty US military

Just wanted to toss out the question of proof of income and evidence required for those of us in the military. I've heard from several VJ folks that our LES (Leave and Earnings Statement) would suffice for section IIB. (Statement of your employer on business stationary, showing: date and nature of employment, salary paid and whether or nto postion is temporary or permanent). I'm planning on including a copy of my most recent tax return (according to US embassy in Manila) and a proof of service letter I got online at my virtual military personnel function.

Is there anything else I'm missing? What's really required of us because of our military status? Thoughts please. Thanks!

Actually, my friend drafted up a memo on his command's letterhead and it stated his base pay with his entitlements (BAS and BAH) and had it signed by his supervisor. I have a copy of it and I plan on doing mine just like his. I suppose if you pm me, I can type a shell for you and send it to you via email, if you'd like.

The proof of service letter fulfills your date of employment requirement. My friend had no problems with his memo that stated his income. He also included LES's with it.

Speaking with people in my squadron that have been through the process before, in their experience the letter from the command along with a few LES's and their last tax return were sufficient in every instance. It's hard to find employment more steady than the military, and the immigrations officers are well aware of that.

Thanks guys! It would seem I have all the pieces then except the letter..that shouldn't be any problem. Hope you're all doing well with yours...still waiting patiently but it's starting to run thin..cheers!

Hey military guys, if you are about to be deployed, you can request for an expedited interview with the embassy for your fiancees/wives. It's called a "military expedite". Embassy does not turn down a military personnel requesting for expedited interview. Just make sure you send a copy of your deployment order (?) not sure what it's called, along with your request.
