Ok, DHL DID call...this morning. It has arrived at the Brampton location and my Mum is picking it up at lunch. If I recall, we are NOT to open the package until it is handed to a US Border agent at our POE. Am I at least able to open the DHL package to take my passport out? What are the restrictions? I know I read them somewhere, but now I cannot find them.

Great news!

Your passport will be in the delivery envelope, free for you to look at and present to the officer at your POE. There will be another package that will be marked "DO NOT OPEN" which you hand over at the POE for them to open and process.

Solmarc, UK, Leslie, Lohninck, Cdnangel, I hope all is well with y'all. I hope that things are progressing well and everyone is happy.

My smokinhotkova is very upset at the moment. On Monday, we went for her to take her driving test. NC DMV would not let her take the test because her I-94 has expired and we do not have her EAD or greencard yet. They have to see something from USCIS with an expiration date on it. They will not issue a license until we have that. I showed them her visa which has an expiration date of Jan. 19, 2011. They did not know if they could accept that. Anyway, the lady scanned her visa and our marriage license and sent it to the main office. We are still waiting for word back on it if that is acceptable. We should have her EAD in December, so we would be able to renew her license then. Veka was so happy about her new car and looking forward to getting out on her own. Now this. She jokes that "this country does not love her." She is upset that we might have to wait for her EAD to come in the mail before she can get her license. I'm hoping that they will accept the date on her visa. I'm calling everyday to DMV to see if they will accept the expiration date on her visa.

I have a friend in Louisville, who happens to be married to another Veka, who had the same problems with his states DMV. I am just letting people know that there might be bumps in the road for all of us. It also depends on which state you are in. And just to make me mad as h@ll, while the lady is telling us Veka cannot take her test, let's just say, someone who I would call an illegal immigrant, showed up to take his test. Did he have to show an I-94, EAD, or greencard. NO!!!!!!!!!! That just gets under my shorts and rubs me the wrong way.

I know some of us have stories to tell. Let's hear them. I have given up the lingerie shopping, taking pictures with the phone of her ####### so she can see how it looks in jeans in the store, my ex and Veka at the bar at the beach, and I have more if y'all want. Life can't be that boring folks. I personally can't wait to hear the "box" stories from Leslie.

Oh Poacher, you crack me up. I feel so bad for Veka & her license troubles. And I agree that the illegals have wayyyyy more rights than us who have been legally applying to be in this country & paying to be treated like #######.

Well, I have now been in the US for 6 days. I am having huge issues being seperated from my son. I am feeling low right now. I'm sure it's normal for the first while. Although I am really happy to be with my American boy. Bittersweet.

We went & got our marriage license yesterday. We are having our fake wedding next Wed. This will be done by a judge so we can get our AOS started. We will always consider the real wedding the one we have in Hawaii in Dec.

Wish I could offer some box stories Poacher! The box is pretty happy though ;) I will be making a trip to Fredricks of Hollywood to get some goodies for the honeymoon! Can't wait!

I hope you get through all this quickly. You have been through way too much already. Fingers n toes crossed for a speedy interview date!

Thankies! Glad you finally got in here. :)

Looks like we'll be waiting even longer.... Vanessa was checking scheduling today, and they are showing February as the earliest date for interviews now.... WTH??????? I'm hoping the site is just being a &%*^$ today or something. Completely ridiculous if we're going to have to wait until February (which will be an entire damn year) just to get the interview.... At that rate, we won't be brining her here until March/April if that's the case...... ugh....

How frustrating! The wait for Montreal interviews is just crazy! It seems to be getting longer and longer; doesn't seem as though the self-scheduling has sped things up at all.

Never mind...panic over as Ken just called the USCIS and they said its not a problem, it is not a requirement right now to get one. So we arent going to bother with the hassle until we need too. Thanks anyway.

Oh Poach :)

We are doing just fine thank you, married life certainly isnt boring...esp with four kids lol.

Our youngest give me a baby making lesson the other day tho....omg she is like 5...#######??? lol

Our son had made a mobile at school...so the youngest ssys to me...do you need a baby now mommy (she has stopped calling me mummy and taken to the US mommy lol, also has picked up a US accent which Im finding difficult to understand, her UK accent was hard enough to understand lol)...so do we need a baby now??? hummm I said well we have you guys .....she says, well I know how you and Daddy can get a baby. Im like really??? Thinking something cute was comming, like...the angels....or buying one for a store....nope, how was wrong was I??

She starts sticking her tongue in and out and scrunching her face up while moving her head side to side.....I was horrified!!!

Apparently someone at school showed her that lol....funny but scary too.... we had to have a lickle chat about how she shouldnt do that lol.

Anyways, kids right? you got to love them :)

Bri and I POE'd just fine. In and out within an hour and Officer Fisher @ Lewiston was great with us. Thanks for all the well wishes. Now to find a JP to marry us and begin our AOS. Leslie, Bri says don't forget the I-512 for early parole so you can visit your son :)

Congrats! It's nice to finally be together, eh? When's the wedding?

We are getting married on Wed. (Nov. 10th) in front of a judge so we can get a start on AOS. The "real" wedding won't be until

Dec. 11th in Hawaii. I will prob tackle the paper work this week, & no, I won't forget the I-512! Thanx! :)

Solmarc, I hope that you have a great wedding day and honeymoon. Remember to leave the midget and donkey at home. That might make your new hubby jealous. As for drivers liscense requirements in NJ, I don't know. I know that we are just in limbo waiting for Veka's EAD before they will let her take the test. They issued her a learners permit, but it expired when her I-94 expired. I'm still fighting them on this one. I hope to get it resolved her soon.

I know that we are all busy. Veka just laughs at all of the hunting me and my sons do. She does however like my venison jerky with a cold pivo. The goose breast cooked on the grill was a hit too. She just laughs at me leaving at 5:30 in the morning to go hunting. Duck and goose season starts back this Saturday. I have a place with about 500 ducks in it. As long as they don't leave between now and then, we will have another great hunt this Saturday.

No great stories from this past weekend. Lingerie shopping was rather tame this time. I know some of y'all have something funny to share. I can't be the only one that is experiencing manny laughs in this process. By the way, I can't find real cavier. I'm on a mission for it now.
