I was just wondering if anyone knows what the estimated time frame is for waiting in AP after the interview in Ankara? I am still waiting to receive packet 4 (which I should be getting any day now) with our interview date. We are making plans for our wedding ceremony and reception to be in August- and assuming everything goes smoothly with our interview, we are estimating our interview will be in April and he will move here in May. It is somewhat difficult to switch around my vacation time at work, and I wanted to be able to take a week or 2 off when Huseyin moves to the US- and I don't want to schedule my vacation, thinking he will move here shortly after the interview and to later find out we are in AP (and then losing my vacation)- I read a review that someone went to the interview, was told they were approved and would receive visa by mail, only to get something in the mail saying they are in AP. For planning purposes, I would just like to know how long I can expect this to take if it does come down to this. Does anybody have any experience with this? Thank you!

I'm wondering the same thing, since it seems all the males are being put in AP recently. I've heard it can take 3-6 months.

I know there are a couple of other people who have had their interviews recently and were put in AP. I can't remember how long they waited.. but hopefully they will chime in!

I have been planning a lot of things at my job, around the thought that we will get approved and he would be coming here by the middle of March, but will need to reschedule things quickly if we get put in AP. Luckily, they are easy to move around.. but there were some business trips I canceled, because I was not about to have him come into the country, hand him a house key and say "welcome home honey.. I'm off to China for a week." It won't be possible to reschedule the things I canceled, but would like to know how long AP could last.. so that I am prepared to re-arrange things at work later in the summer if I need to.

Hey, I just read somewhere that AP is usually 4-6 weeks.. not months.. but it seems some people have taken longer than that.
