Hi Everyone,

(I sort of mentioned about this in the "How close/How far" message thread....but I'll elaborate further here..)

How many of you would ike to consider a "Canadian ON/American NYS" VJers meetup?

Seriously......

Maybe we can have a cup of timmies, share some timbits, and chat about whatever else too....

(lol..and yes, this includes chatting about immigration-related issues..lol...let's all share our grief together..lol...)

Go Canadian/American VJers!....

If anyone else is interested, feel free to add your vj name to this list.....

Some possible meetup locations could be (which are convenient to both Canadians and Americans alike..):

Buffalo, NY...

Niagara Falls, NY...

Niagara Falls, ON....

Fort Erie, ON..

Toronto, ON...

etc....(feel free to list some other locations too...in the Southern ON/ Northern NYS area...)

And of course....

Tim Hortons!....lol......(both sides of the border...wherever...)

Also, what times and/or dates would be convenient for all of you?

What do you all think? Anyone else interested?

All are welcomed...:)

Let's make this in-person VJ meetup into reality someday!

Hmm...maybe you can start up a Washingtion State thread too?...

I'm sure you can find other Canadian/American VJers on the west coast too?

Would be interesting if you can get a meetup there too...:)

How fun! Wish it was a bit closer because I would love a meetup (we are in northern NH).

When I was in FL, I met Chri'stina, her husband and son and it was great. So yay for VJ meetups :)

Hmm...maybe you can start up a NH thread too?...

I'm sure you can find other Canadian/American VJers farther east too?

Would be interesting if you can get a meetup there too...

Great that you got to meet another fellow VJer too!...Lucky you....Yeah for meetups!

I think that would be great! Actually my husband and I met for the very first time at Tim Hortons. Shared a coffee and 3 1/2 hours of conversation. I remember first laying eyes on him and thinking...what a hottie. Here we are 7 years later...six of 'em married and I still think he's as handsome as ever!!

Anyways...I think it would be fun and interesting to get together and hear other peoples stories. We are in Niagara Falls, Ontario right now...husband will be moving to Niagara Falls, New York at the end of March and I will follow when I get my visa

Yeah, I'm the same as OBX (from the same town even :)). If this was 7 months ago I'd be all in! But my trips home are few and far between and when I do make it home, my days seem to be packed with visiting friends and family. My husband and I actually met for the first time in Buffalo, at Darrien Lake! So Western NY has a special place for us (even if it smells a little :P hehe)

OBX- It's never too late!...;)

And yes, by all means, if you're back in the area for a meetup....You're welcomed to join in the fun...:)

By the way, what times/days of the year would work best for you? For example, summer, spring, a certain month of the year?

Welland...Isn't that where the Welland canal with the locks are?

Yeah, I'm the same as OBX (from the same town even :)). If this was 7 months ago I'd be all in! Hugglebuggles- Wow...What a co-incidence that you and OBX are in the same town and situation..Did you both ever meet up before you both moved?

And likewise....It's never too late!...;)

And yes, by all means, if you're back in the area for a meetup....You're welcomed to join in the fun...:)

By the way, what times/days of the year would work best for you? For example, summer, spring, a certain month of the year?

Though I'm sure along the way you can spare some time meet some fellow VJers for some Timmys?...lol.....;)

Lol..I know what you mean about days back home packed with meeting people.....That happens to all of us....

It's like we all have to have some sort of visiting schedule or something...

I remember when I used to say.."I'll meet person X at this time, meet person Y at this time...", whenever I was in Toronto...

Lol..I still do that...Though it's gets a bit tricky as I have to schedule the baby in between....eat and change on the run..lol...whatever.....

Cool that you and your husband met at Darrien Lake!...Aww..that definitely holds a specil memory between the both of you....

If it smells like Western NY (though I'm not sure there is a smell around here..other than the smell of several inches of snow, Timmy's, and Bills/Sabre fans...lol..) then it probably is Western NY...lol....By the way, how exactly does Western NY smell like? Care to elaborate further?...lol....

I've been to Darrien Lake before too...(though it's not exactly in Buffalo, NY....about 20-30 mins away...)

Actually the last time me and my husband went...We went to see a Bryan Adams concert......

And boy, were there Canadians there too! Lol...Even though Bryan Adams yelled out to the crowd about being in Buffalo, NY....lol.....

"It was the summer of '07....We were young and restless....and needed to unwind......".......

Fun memories there, indeed.........

Added more names to the list too...Feel free to add your name to the list too, if you haven't done such already..
