I wonder if only the Philippines is doing this procedure, what is that for? Does the immigration officer at the POE ask for it or in the Philippines immigration?

Dec 15,2009 - Assigned interview date on January 24,2010!!

Jan. 24, 2010 - Interview!! Approved

Jan. 28, 2010 - VISA received

Mar. 03,2010 - POE, New York (JFK)

Apr. 12,2010- CA ID

May 20,2010- CA Driving License

May, 25,2010-Wife told me that she is pregnant ^_^

Jan.25,2011- Our daughter was born

Lee and Jen + Karenza

Im not sure if its required in the other country or not, but it is in the Philippines. You cant board the plane without it.

The POE officer is not concerned about the CFO stamp. The CFO seminar is strictly the concern of the Philippine government. They will require it at the airport in Manila or Cebu. I forget exactly where they checked it. Either the airline ticket agent or the cashier for the departure tax probably.

We got Analyn's CFO stamp at St. Mary Center in Manila. It was relatively painless, but took half of the day.

CFO is the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. Their purpose concerning your spouse/asawa is: The objective of this program is to help Filipino fiancées and spouses of foreign nationals make informed decisions regarding their marriage to foreign nationals and to prepare them for their adjustments in cross-cultural marriages.

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

yes, the CFO seminar is specific to the philippines only, as a preparation for filipinos leaving for another country either for marriage or work (about life that other country, the culture, environment etc)

the seminar will provide you with a regisrtation with the CFO database and a sticker on your passport stating that you are registered and have attended the seminar.

the sticker is checked at the phil airport, so if you're not taking off from the philippines (meaning you're somewhere else other than the philippines) you should be fine without it. you probably had a similar seminar (PIDOS) already
