Ask your husband to call either:

Manila Embassy (Immigrant Visa Unit) Tel. # 011-632-301-2000 ext 5184 or dial 0

or:

Department of State Tel # (202) 663-1225, press 1, press 0

Anyone may correct the contact details if what I've written isn't updated.

Wake up your husband now and request him to give the Embassy a ring. Maybe it wasn't during Philippine business hours when he rang them.

I hope it really helps. Your husband may call the DOS number when he wakes up tomorrow (Eastern Standard Time). Let him call the Embassy on Friday of the Philippine time.

Try to sleep tonight. Keep praying and minimize fretting.

Have him call the DOS if he doesn't want to make the international phone call. They will have the information from the previous day.

I found them to be MUCH more helpful than the embassy when we were waiting for them to release our visa. All the embassy would say is "it's processing". The DOS would give us an idea exactly where in the processing process it was.

Tell him be prepared to be on hold for a long time. My last call to the DOS was 41 minutes 10 seconds long.
