On July 13th my two step-sons had their AOS interview in Memphis. Both were told at the interview that all was good and their cases were approved. One son reveived his online status approval immediately and his green card in 9 days. The other son's online status did not change. I assumed that his FBI name check had not returned. Since he needed to travel n July 31st.. I made an infopass appointment for today to see if he could travel on his AP while waiting.

Upon arrival and explaining that one son had reveived his green card and the other on had not been updated she said "let me check.. we have been having problems with the system and some cases have not been updated".. upon checking she found that the case had been approved but not flagged for card. She said she need to check with the officer that did the interview and see if he remembered the case since the file had already been returned.

She then returned asn said that the case was approved... stamped his passport with a 6 month I-551 stamp... GREAT....

If I had not made the appointment for an entirely different reason his case would still be pending... You just never know what is really going on.....

I found the Memphis infopass appointment process very good.. almost no waiting and the staff were extremely nice (even before they discovered the problem)...

Thanks to all that have helped us over the past months..

If I can be of any help to anyone going through a K2 process, feel free to e-mail me..

Hugh and Natali
