Just FYI -- it looks like Woking Medical Clinic in Vancouver is open this THURSDAY as well as Wednesday. This is presumably due to the fact that they'll be closed during the Olympics.

This is quite important to note for anyone in the West who is having an interview in February or March.

Did you get a Medical schedualed Wyatt?? And when you get there...stand next to the locked gates...it is first in line, first served...for the most part everyone was really good about that...but some thought first upstairs to get a number, first served...

In fact...the lady that worked there stated when she opened the gates...first here this morning...first served in order...

and you need to hold onto that number all morning..(I kept losing mine..in the seat cushions, under the bench, left it in the xray room!! lol

Thanks for the advice. :)

Yup...I got scheduled for Thursday. I'm probably going to drive down. I had been under the impression that the clinic was near the Burrard Skytrain Station, but it's actually right by St. Paul's Hospital, correct?

How was it for parking down there?

Confused, why are they closed for the Olympics? Is the doctor a professional bobsledder, cause that'd be so awesome.

Actually, I think he does skeleton.

Siss-boom-baaa!

Seriously though...I'm sure it's because downtown Vancouver is going to be impossible to get around in at the Olympics. I'm pro-Olympics, but I don't think I'd wish a trip to downtown Vancouver during that time on my worst enemy.

So hopefully all affected people see this post of mine...

Agreed! Maybe the doctor will take some time for a vacation while the clinic is closed. Sucks for sure for people who don't know about it.

They could probably rent out their examination rooms for $1000 per night.

I just double-checked their website and this is what it has to say:

Parking is available both under, beside and behind the building. Payable by credit card or phone.

Allow at least 5 hours for parking. Do not park in street meters, you will lose your place in line or be towed.

Do not ask us for change or to go move your car.

I'm glad there's a credit-card meter there. I don't typically carry change around.

when you actually meet the doctor, you will see the absurdity of those remarks!!! She is a tiny little old lady that wore her hair in a top knot and has chains on her glasses!!

and yes..the parking is brutal....and right across the street from St Paul's. There is a gate to a courtyard on the left...stand there...and get there early!

All the best Wyatt!!!

I thought the doctor was a man! I did see the lady with the chain glasses but only after meeting with the male doctor. The doctor has to have a woman present in the room, I believe it was the receptionist. Anyways the lady with the glasses I thought she was a nurse, all she did was take my weight and height.

My cousin drove me from burnaby that morning, there was NO traffic @ 5:30 in the morning! It's right across from st pauls hospital like the others have said. Probably a 5 min walk to the Burrard station.

Perhaps there are more than one doctor in that office??? I saw Dr Langley and she was most definatly a woman...an older woman.. There are two other ladies at the front, who dealt with the forms and whatnot and also did the height weight and pseudo Eye exam....

Really? Only five minute walk from Burrard Skytrain Station? Maybe I will take Skytrain after all. I can park outside of my old apartment in Burnaby for free...
