My wife and i Just got back from our interview here in NYC... all the documents checked out... all questions answered..

But the interviewer said because of new policies they don't give an approval right away.

so, we're "pending" and in 5 weeks we should get something in the mail... is this true?

what do they do in that time? Do they re-review the records? could there be some problems that interviewer didn't/couldn't mention during the interview?

He said that now they cant officially say "approved" however, he repeated 3 times that we shouldn't have anything to worry about...in a "wink wink" kind of way... but I'm still a little concerned.

thanks

Depends on the office, they are probably just going over the evidence/paperwork.

If they said "nothing to be worried about" - don't worry.

Worry if you get denied, not before then :)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
