I have just sent in my papers for k-1 and just got layed off my job..What will happen now?And could i get someone in my family to sponcer me ?And would thay count my unemployment now as my income..And any information u could give would be thankfull..I am new at this so lot of information would be very helpfull ..thank u so much

It would be counted as income on your 2010 tax transcripts. .....But you will need to find a comparable job before your interview when you must have your I-134 affidavit of support filled out..You need to meet 100% of the poverty levels for the I-134 and the full 125% for your AOS way down the road. No job means you need a co-signer/ sponser. It is best to take something even if you do not like what you will be doing.It is still a job and you are showing that you are responsible...I was laid off for 7 months and did not send in my I-129F until I went back to work . But your situation is different..As of NOW only you know that you were laid off. You have a few months to come up with a job..GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!
