A close friend of mine recently went to her interview with her spouse for AOS. She is worried all is not "right". The interview went well (separated them for about 15 minutes, only missed a few questions, mostly identical answers, etc) with all supporting documentation. She was missing an original copy of a USCIS form, though the officer allowed them to leave and return with it later in the day. Her reason for feeling it didn't go well was the officer did not say yes or no to her AOS, and did not stamp her passport with anything. The officer's only indication was being polite the entire time and stating they will receive a letter in the mail within a few weeks. Obviously this would make anyone worried, but does anyone have experience with this? They approved work authorization documentation for printing, according to the USCIS website, though no mention was made of this at the interview - it was approved about a week prior to the interview.

Thanks in advance!

Hey thanks! I forgot to mention her AOS was for a GC, not for naturalization, if that makes a difference. I think her biggest fear is being called for a second interview, where they apparently aren't as nice. How long does the FBI check take? I think her forms were filed in April 2009, with the interview yesterday.

If the interviewer didnt mentioned the FBI name check to her that means her name was already cleared, so hopefully she will hear a good news about her approval very soon. by the way i was talking about AOS too.

Thanks.
