I know it's expensive, I'm in the okanagan and wow, 700 to fly out to Montreal.

I'm in BC too and it's really hard to believe that of all the consulates in Canada; we can only go to one (Montreal) for immigrant visas.

Check recent Westjet and Air Canada as they have seat sales to Montreal and for far less than 700 bills...

I probably call too much - the fortunate thing is today my wife's here on a visit so not as brutal. One nice thing would be if they could leave the friggin script play by play to rest and actually communicate with me genuinely.

That said those folks have always been really nice considering they get all kinds of people who are desperate/frustrated/angry and still manage to keep it consistent (i.e: not flying off the handle).

I have just called NVC and have said that they have finished scheduling interview for Montreal yesterday which sucks and that would mean next scheduling would be 2nd week of February for March. The excuse was that Montreal consulate is very busy...
