Bullsh1t. Severe mental illness has no regard for how many parents are in the house - it just attacks. And in all honesty, to have one decent parent is way better than have a drunkard who beats mommy as a "dad".

I'm sure we all realize "single motherhood" is often the better option given unfortunate circumstances.... but on average Children do much better with two caring parents rather than one, in a whole host of ways.

Women- if you care for your childrens health and welfare understand how important a father is in their lives and pick a good one for them, if you misjudge, they will be burdened with it a lot longer than you will.

I'm really not trying to "pick on' single mothers as much as I am pointing out, Kids Need Healthy relationships with their full time dad... because it's not always possible doesn't change this reality.

Everything I have read and seen in my life and others has confirmed this (though your milage might have differed).

I would say the ideal situation would be a mother father situation, each has unique qualities that would benefit the child. I dont get these surrogate mothers, I find them very selfish and considering all the children that need homes around the world I guess you could say the same about couples who have there own baby.

A proper spanking does not consist of beating your child. Spanking is a effective method, it worked on me and many people in my family but sure yes there is more than one way to raise a child but to often these days parents are trying too hard to be friends with the child, parents first and friends second.
