Hey guys,

While filling out my I-129F i quickly stumbled upon one of the first questions. Question #7 asks to please write any other names used. Now, I was born in Cuba and as in most Spanish speaking countries it is customary to have two surnames, a paternal and a maternal surname. When I came to the U.S years ago my maternal surname was removed, but in my Cuban passport it is still there. Now my dilemma is should I include it in the other names used section of the form? I have never used my maternal surname in the U.S and I'm afraid that including it will bring a delay to my application as a result of have to screen another last name, or will it be better to include it and then not find out later in the process that I should have and its too late. Thanks in advance.

Pablo.
