Hi all,

on applying AOS for me, my husband annual income is more than the poverty guide line for our household, but still we received an RFE, asking us to fill up form I-864 part 7.

- Should we attach copy of our bank account to support the question number 26 a or we can just write down the balance on the form ?

- My husband has 2 cars. Can he put one of his car as an asset? What kind of evidance that we need to support this asset?

Thank you

Anything you use in part 7 must be documented. You can document the value of a house with an appraisal, or show a statement for a bank account, but valuing a car is more difficult.

Documentation that comes to mind:

  • Vehicle Title (showing ownership)
  • Blue Book Value (KBB.com)

It may/may-not be of a lot of use on the affidavit of support - of course it depends on its value.

For the home valuation (as stated above; what ever you write, you must document which is presumably what the RFE is asking for) can use the mortgage statement, a recent appraisal or market comparison and/or recent property tax record (or a combination of these).
