I have a question about the affidavit of support and hope someone can help me answer it.

I married my husband (American citizen) in August, and we are working on getting my GC.

My husband's current year's income is over $20,000, but he's going to quit this job in the early of January 2010 and find another part-time job. He's going back to school to finish his degree. My question is if I still need to find a joint-sponsor regardless if he's qualified for this year? Will USCIS later ask for a evidence of current job pay stub? I'm planning to send my application out in January 2010, and don't know if I really need a joint-sponsor.

If anyone knows what I should do, please let me know ASAP. I will really appreciate your help!

Thank you!

We met on September 06 and were happily married on August 8 2009!*^-^*

If you entered under K3 status you are almost guaranteed to have an interview. The interviewing officer will most likely ask what your husband's occupation is. If you entered the US under K1 status there is a good chance you will not have an interview.

Either way my suggestion would be to find a sponsor and hold on the I-864(A) in case you are asked.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I will submit my application and meanwhile look for a joint-sponsor in case it is required.

Merry Christmas to you!
