Could you tell me what you had to take to the interview ?

Does the visa fee needs to be paid at a citibank before going to the interview ?

I'm not sure because I never did K1 visa. But I know you also have to bring proof of ongoing relationship.

About the doctor, you have to make an appointment before you go.

And I'd pay the Citibank fee before the interview, I know in SP they don't have Citibank in the Consulate anymore, not sure about RJ. Rather be safe than sorry =)

Check out the guides to make sure you are not missing anything: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

Good luck!!

I have gone through the process [my fiancee i mean], she got here Dec 9th..

To the interview you will take completed and executed forms required by the US Embassy including your police record of course, affidavit of support [as you mentioned above]. Dont forget to bring additional proof of relationship, emails, tel records, photos, cards, etc. As soon as you received your appointment, make sure you schedule your medical appointment.. you could start taking your vaccines and bring your records to doctor..

You could view this blog that will help a little too http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=224868

Hello:

Has anyone gone thru the K1 process in Brazil ?

Could you tell me what you had to take to the interview ? Everything that you have previously sent to USCIS along with proof that you're still in a relationshp (pictures, cards, gifts)

ALSO, the USC can attend the interview with the Brazilian national if you'd like (I went with my now husband)

Does the visa fee needs to be paid at a citibank before going to the interview ? Yes (we paid it the day before)

Do you have to make a medical exam appointment to go to the clinic or can you just walk in: You'll have to make an appointment. My husband is from Manaus so he had "permission" from a doctor in RJ to have his blood work and x-rays done at a facility in his hometown. He then took everything with him to RJ for the interview and had his medical exam appointment days before his interview (everything was scheduled).

Forms to bring:

2 DS-156

DS-157Sworn statement from my bf

BC

Police Certificates

I-134

court records if applicable ? Everything you have.

Am I missing something ? We went through this in 2007 so hopefully someone else can better answer this. I suggest posting in the "Latin American" forum. Good luck!
