I paid aos fees before some days and also downloaded the coversheet and sent it to the petitioner so now can my petitioner file the AOS and send it to the petitioner or should we wait for the nvc to send the instructions??

i also mailed the nvc ds-3032 and emailed it but i havent received the confirmation yet from the nvc bout it...even then my ds-230 fees on online nvc payment site shows "NOT PAID" instead of "NOT INVOICED" which was displayed previously..so should i go on to pay the fees online or should i wait for the iv fee bills to get generated?

also as previously discussed my name wasnt there on the case at all but now my name is been entered on the case of my mother and also i received the confirmation email bout it from NVC today.my name is now displayed on nvc payment site along with my parents as iv fee "NOT PAID".

You can go ahead and send the AOS now because you already have the cover sheet and the paid status. You don't have to wait for any instructions.

DONOT pay the IV fee yet until you recieve a confermation email that they recieved your DS-3032. So wait for NVC's email. It doesn't matter if the status changed from NOT INVOICED to NOT PAID. You still have to wait for NVC to email you that they recieved the DS-3032. Call NVC and find out if they recieved your DS-3032.

It's good that your name is there now.

Good luck with everything.

Since you paid the AOS Fee and you have the cover sheet you can send them the AOS packet.

Once DS-3032 is accepted it will generate the IV Fee Bill Email. So DO NOT PAY until you receive IV Fee Bill.

Good Luck with the rest of your process.

Thanks, Raj

If the address on the old passport falls under same Regional Passport Office then you can get one PCC from the current Regional Passport Office if not then you need to get from both the places. Also check the below for more info.....

Please check this website for PCC...

http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/immigrantst...-terms.html#PCC

Here is what it is from the above link....

Each visa applicant over the age of 16 must present original police certificates. Police certificates must cover the entire period of the applicant's residence in any area. The term "police certificate" means a certification by appropriate police authorities stating what their records show concerning each applicant, including all arrests, the reasons for the arrests, and the disposition of each case of which there is a record. Police certificates from certain countries are considered unobtainable. For more information on police certificate requirements see the chart below:

is beneficiary residing in India and his or her Indian passport was issued within past 6 months is 16 years old or older

You need to get from Passport office

if passport was issued more than 6 months prior to visa application is 16 years old or older

then need to get from these two places...

1. Passport office

2. The district police office serving the applicant's place of residence

Hope this helps....Good Luck! Thanks, Raj

actually the old passport is from the same passport office but the matter of concern is the places that my dad has lived...i mean he stayed in two different cities in the same state of gujarat and both the cities are covered under the same passport office of ahmedabad so i think that he wont have a problem with the pcc but since he doesnt stay at the place which he used to, previously...how is he gona get the pcc from that place? coz for that this idiot police department wants a residential proof...how are we gona provide them that??
