All I know about Arizona is Sheriff Joe.

I'm an Arizona native and lived there until my early 30's. It's a beautiful state. The Valley (Phoenix Metro area) gets really hot in the summer months. The state is not doing so well though - state is issuing IOU's to state employees and like a lot of states, has high unemployment...but this is recent (within the last couple of years).

But he is SO popular, and a true hero to the tax payer's of AZ. You just dont seem to give him credit for keeping your family safe.

I was born and raised there but have been in Kansas now for 16 years or so. I really miss the diversity there but that's about it. You can pull your sandrail to the dunes in Yuma for the day then run across the desert and go Skiing in Tucson nearly all in the same day. Every climate you can imagine there and very pretty. It's economy has been "snowbird" driven for a long time now though. The building business is probably still the largest there and I'm sure this economy has really crippled the whole state.

Oh and as far as Joe goes, it's no surprise he's in AZ. It seems to harbor some real..um...winners coughMcCaincough (glad I left..lol)

I am going to stay in goodyear AZ I think it is in Maricopa county this coming march

do you have any idea what will I look forward there?

Goodyear is west of the metro area. It's been years since I've been there so I'msure, by now, you won't be able to tell going from Phoenix to Goodyear. It will all seem like one city. The whole valley is that way, Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa...it all appears to be one gigantic city. South Mountain is a nice view, otherwise you can expect lots of city and greaswood bushes lol. March is a good time of year there though. The weather should be very nice for your visit

Wow. Goodyear is way out in the middle of nowhere. I've been to a few air shows out there. It's part of the Phoenix Metropolitan area and you'll probably find yourself driving into the bigger towns for shopping, etc.

I live in Chandler and moving to Tempe next week !!!!!! I am from boston and like the weather here much better than home....but good year is way out there!!!! And about sherriff Joe I really have no comment !!! I agree what he is trying to acomplish but not how he does it!!!

Wow I wouldn't have guessed that. The city hasn't grown that direction much?? I thought it would be half way to Needles by now.

It has grown that way but still not near anything fun in my opinion

which come to think of it there really isnt much fun things to do !!!...lol
