Hey Spec, have not really spoken to you since the ds 3032 fiasco...after seeing this topic you posted i thought I should tell you that my hubby had his interview last week and I went with him- we are on AP- it sucks. PM me if you are interested in the details of the interview...I really am gonna be praying that you guys dont have to deal with it- especially with how you helped me out back in the NVC stage

My husband is from Iran and he didn't get AP at all yet. He is in the U.S. with me now waiting for his conditional green card (maybe they are doing the background checks now?). However, he was living in Canada on a student visa when we applied for his K3. I don't know if that made a difference or not, but the lady at the embassy in Montreal grilled him for a long time about his student visa and his status in Canada. I know that other Iranians who interviewed around the same time as my husband (not in Canada) were not given AP either. I don't know what criteria they go by, if any. It may just be random. The best thing is to just plan on the AP just in case, and if you don't get AP, then you haven't lost anything and it's a pleasant surprise. :-)
