hey everybody

i wish you all goodluck in your process, i know we all need patience and patience ..., it's not really fair when it only take 6 weeks in europe and at least 6 months in US,

me and my wife have a problem, our K3 will get approved soon, and she just lost her job, she was working for 2 years with the US post office, and her contract end on the 5th july, as she is now looking for a job and i don't know if she will get one soon, i'm asking what should we do about sponsorship papers, is it very important to have a work letter, or a cosponsor is enough , we are just nervous and stressed about this.

thank you so much everyone

From your posting, I assume that your wife is the petitioner. Looks like a joint sponsor will be needed for your case. There is nothing wrong having a joint sponsor.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

atbir,

What is very important is having someone in the USA who can feed, clothe, and house you after you arrive. Does your wife have alternative income (such as state unemloyment compensation) or saving to draw on?

If not, and you don't have substantial savings of your own, not only will you need a paper sponsor for immigration you'll need someone to put out some cash for you.

I hope your wife finds new employment soon.
