I couldn't afford a ticket during the Christmas airline peak so alternatively, I booked a flight to Hong Kong on January 22nd. I was very fortunate to use my frequent flier miles for a free ticket, and arrange for a $200 RT ticket from Manila to Hong Kong for the fiancee. It's a bit of a birthday present for her as she's always wanted to go to Hong Kong. We are going to stay for about a week and I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for places to go, things to see, etc.. I have already locked in on a good deal through Travelocity/American Express for a hotel on Hong Kong Island, now I'm just looking for some fun..

We are already checking out:

* Ocean Park

* Hong Kong Disneyland

* The Peak

* Temple Street Night Market

* Day trip to Macau

My only caveat is I'm on a bit of a budget so I can go see her again in April.. ;)

By the way, I'm super excited today as I received my NOA1 in the mail. Now the fun waiting game begins... :dance:

Take LOTS of pictures and keep evidence of the trip. All helps in showing you guys have a bonafide relationship. Trip in April will help also.

Don't forget to visit the Tian Tan buddha at Lantau Island and climb all those steps. The silvermine beach resort is a nice place to stay too. Enjoy your trip!
