Oh man, like you needed anything more to feed that huge ego of yours. :P

What ego? The Maven is renowned for her down-to-earth, woman-of-the-people ways. Now shut up and get me some Twiglets, pleb.

Sorry -- back to topic!star_smile.gif

I think what's nice about it is the uniting factor. People start out on VJ in their global CSC or VSC K1 threads, or CR1, DCF, K3 threads and finally unite here as a generic UK visa filing crowd, encouraging each other's progress. Those who do and have kept the list are valuable contributors to this community.

I am such a beacon that Julez had to say it twice, yo.cool.gif

I think it's more that the sentence didn't trip off the tongue so easily and she stammered it out. :P

Many congrats Melissa. I remember how it feels to know your case is *somewhere* out there up to no good, but I assure you, your happiness will peak when Julian gets approved.

Got my interview on Monday - all the docs present, correct and photocopied for good measure. I'm utterly petrified - I've been rubbish at interviews all my life and just imagining the grilling I'm going to get on Monday morning is doing my head in.

Mike, the interview will be something like 3 questions! My husband was all worked up about it too, and ended up feeling disappointed they didn't want to know more! So, relax, you'll be fine!! And good luck!! :star:

Yeah, it's not anything like a job interview. They're real friendly and ask like 3-5 questions that are really general.

Good luck!

Thanks Gemmie! He sent all the forms today so I guess we start the next part of the waiting game. :clock:

Less than a month to go here! I can't wait!! Peter is starting to feel the nerves creeping up on him already. We both know it should be easy, we've got a very straight-forward case, but I can understand his nerves. After what we went through in February, his mom is ready to cry with worry that he'll be 'rejected again' as she put it. We aren't even entertaining the thought. He's going to go in, answer his questions, hand over his documents, and then walk out with a smile knowing he was approved. :)

Nah, you were rejected for a B2 visa. Everyone I've seen who has had that happen has been granted the K1, that's what it's for. :) You're right ,he'll be fine.

I'm a British citizen with a UK passport that expires in 2015. I'd like to get it renewed before I move to America, so that it's valid for the next ten years, however I'm unfamiliar with passports as I didn't take much notice of the one I had before it until I lost it.

So if I get it renewed are the general details the same? That is, if I get it renewed will the information I have then clash with the information I already sent off in the forms? Could that present a problem at the interview?

Its hard not to get worked up about it, since the whole visa thing is a big deal. But try not to worry too much. I look forward to your triumphant post about how easy-peasy it alll was! :star:

6 hours on the train? I don't envy you. Bring lots to read!! Enjoy your time in London, though.
