I am asking this question on the behalf of a friend ..... If a US Citizen gets married to a person who is here in the US based on an Asylum, after marriage will the individual granted the Asylum then become eligible for a Green Card? Also, what forms (if any) will these individuals have to file once they are married?

IMO, there'd be a huge question about the legitimacy of the relationship given his status... I think your best bet is to consult with an immigration attorney on this subject.

Immigration attorney needed. Lots of complications involved with asylum.

04-21-06 - AOS Interview

04-27-06 - Approval

05-17-06 - Green Card in hand

02-11-08 - File to remove conditions

03-15-08 - Biometrics

03-18-09 - Approved - No interview (Card production ordered)

03-24-09 - 10-year card arrives!
