My wife has an appointment for January for her visa. My lawyer says that is important that i attend that appointment with her at the embassy.

Any advise?????

Go and get there at 6AM no matter what time your appointment is . If you want an almost guarenteed visa..The choice is yours but I would listen to you lawyers advice.. I am going to be present in Bogota when it is time for my fiancee's appointment...

The CO at the Bogota embassy told me that because the Bogota Post is a "High Fraud" Embassy, they are reluctant to issue visas without the Petitioner present. I was there in October.

Yes I would plan on attending...there were multiple rejections/postponements (2or3) the day we went because both parties weren't there. I say postponements because the ladies were told to try again when the guy could be there. I am glad I went!

It is always recommended that the petitioner go to the interview with the beneficiary but not an obligation. If you think you can get time off from work or whatever responsibilities you may have and can afford to do so, do it. But if for some reason you can't make it, send a letter your fiancée can show them at the embassy that can explain why you weren't there. She may be approved without you being present but don't discard the possibility that they may not approve her visa until you go with her, which means she will have to make an appointment for a different day and go with you to the embassy.
