umm... so flipping through my passport I noticed I actually have TWO K-1 Visas issued in there.... one on page 12, right in the middle, and the other on page 8.

The one on page 8 looks exactly the same as the one on page 12, except that a couple numbers are different and it has a huge 'CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE' stamp on it. The one on page 12 is fine. I'mmmmm kinda worried. Will they hassle this at POE? I have NO clue why there's an extra one on there. Does anyone else have anything like this?! I'm worried that POE will see the canceled one, and ignore the other one, and not let me cross. FRICK. I thought I was out of the 'worry' zone. :crying:

Erm, what on earth?

Are there any details on the first one that are incorrect, perhaps, that they had to reissue it correctly?

Do they have the same issue dates? If so, I can't imagine the POE can choose to ignore the second one.

Not that I can see. The only differences I noticed are the red numbers beside the petition info, and if you look at the expiration date... to the right of that are 4 little black numbers. Those are different. And the number/code written along the bottom is different by one number at the end. But that's it. Everything else, dates, names, etc, is exactly the same on both. :( I wonder if I should call them? When I opened the envelope it was opened to the page with the normal one (the one WITHOUT the canceled stamp on it), so I didn't even notice it at first. I don't get it!!!

Well, with an unadulterated, correct visa, I can't see there being an issue.

However, if it were me, I'd call anyhow, just to see what's what.

Who would I even call in this case? It would still be up to the discretion of the POE officer I bet anyways.... omg this sucks a lot... ####### I'm pissed. THEY clearly made a mistake, since there IS the unadulterated, correct visa issued on page 12.

You have a valid visa - I don't see an area for discretion here. You shouldn't have any issues, unless the "old" number is somehow still associated with your name.

The only number I could think of calling is NVC, but I don't know how much help they would be. Perhaps they could at least explain why this could happen?

The numbers are different.....this sounds really dumb, but maybe they stamped your passport with someone else's visa?

Then cancelled the first one & stamped your case/visa number in the other page.

Like I said, it sounds dumb, but maybe???

I dunno... everything's exactly the same, like my name, my fiance's name, my birthday, etc... But yeah, maybe the issuing code/numbers were incorrect? I dunno...

You have a valid Visa and the packet . . . this should be enough for the border.

Why don't you email Montreal about this.

Paul Mayer (sp?) told me he put a note on the "CCD" screen for Sean to visit without activating the Visa. The border guards have access to this screen in their computer system. Maybe they can put a note on your "CCD" screen about the goof?
