Apparently the mailman is late today. Now I have imaginary visions of the Canada Post truck crashing in some major intersection in uptown TO and my passport being picked up by random looters and sold to the black market.

SIGH. I need to do something else than... worry :P

Sometimes they are REALLY bad at updating on Xpresspost. I've sent stuff that have never updated, even after the person has it in their hands.

Sometimes a different guy delivers the Xpresspost stuff, often later in the afternoon.

Oh and the Mississauga sorting facility is literally a 5 minute walk from where I used to live :) I miss the 'Saugs.

Maybe it's time I call Canada Post.

This is really irritating.

Canada Post may have lost my documents. I started a case file and a customer number and still they dont know where it is shortly after 1:30. I finally got an email that at 12:30 this afternoon, someone at Scarborough said that the receiver address was wrong. I called them at f*cking 2:30 and they did not even know about it, I had to inform them what their system is telling me. Anyway apparently they said that the receiver address is wrong and I said that it is impssible because I WROTE THE DAMN THING MYSELF. My guess is that the stupid packet got in the goddamn wrong truck.

At this point, I dont even know what to do. I am just so sad.

Omg that's terrible :(

I hope they fix that fast and you better demand your money back.

My visa was shoved into the mailbox.

My mom left work early to check it and it was just shoved into the mailbox, and the thing's tiny!

She opened it and it was okay though. The do not open envelope is okay (bent a bit, but not open) and my passport's bent a bit. THANKS CANADA POST IT COULD HAVE GOTTEN STOLEN.

Crazy.

Call back and demand to speak with a Supervisor. The CSR's are useless, but when I had issues the Supervisor was the only person who actually helped.

I wouldn't consider it lost yet. If anything, they'll send it back to the Consulate and then the Consulate will send it out again - which would suck, but isn't as bad as losing it completely.

Actually it took Canada Post only one week to send me a check with refund for my courier envelope...I just called there, gave them my tracking number and that was it...

Well, my visa's getting no where. I just checked the site again and there's been no update.

There's a guarantee on the delivery too.

I wonder if I can get my money back. Ugh. Next day noon my foot.

They'll refund you for the postage if show them that it wasn't delivered on time. Takes a couple of months, but it happened to me and I got a cheque back.

No receipt was necessary...once she looked up the tracking info she even knew where I bought my envelope.

Do they ask for a copy of the receipt?

Cause I think I accidentally threw mine out...

Yeah, I had to show my receipt.

Oh guys, I am so sorry...reading your posts is like revisiting my own passport trauma (it's all in my passport drama post)...they probably didn't lose it, it's just taking time for them to deliever it...and my mail woman scanned my envelope as 'delievered' when she was leaving the facility, so when I checked the status online, it said delivered but it was not in my mailbox or anywhere else...for like an hour (before the mail woman finally showed up) I was convinced that I need to call AA and cancel my flight!

I just don't understand why such important docs can't be handled by FedEx or UPS or some other company that allows for real time tracking...

I am keeping my fingers crossed for all you waiting!!!

Well its official -- my package is MIA.

Someone in Mississagua read my postal code as M1 inistead of M2. The supervisor said on the phone that I could have mistakenly written M2, and I said no, I know what I wrote and I checked it three times and had my fiance check it too. And how can the person assume its M1 when its written TORONTO. Of course, she didnt say anything.

I am just hoping that the delivery message "attempting to redeliver" happens tomorrow. I mean seriously, from Scarborough to TO, I hope it wont take long. Apparently I also cant just pick it up from their Scarborough depot as "intercepting mail is a crime". #######.

Note to everyone whos interviewing tomorrow, write everything in FRIGGING #### BLOCK LETTERS. Or print out your address with those label stickers from the computer.

Im happy for everyone who got their visas of course though right now I am f*cking #### bitter.

Finally married... and still married... ;)
