Hi all!

My fiance and I's K1 visa petition has recently reached the Manila Embassy. I know that the only thing left for us to do is the medical and the interview.

This questions is in regards to what actually happens at the MEDICAL.

What do they actually examine??

I've read on here they just do chest xrays, a HIV test, and then the vaccination and thats about it.

Is this true??

I also understand that they will do "physical check ups" but how do they determine if you are "fit" other than the cholesterol check and the blood pressure???

I'm just buggin' out about the situation.. just so excited and at the same time nauseated from all the stress:)

"So many nights I'm away from you...

are you sittin' at home, while i'm feeling so lonely...

can't understand why I feel for you...

Could I be here to love? cuz' its drivin' me crazy...

.....you're far away...." (0_O)

I understand that they strip you naked and make sure you have the correct sexual organ.

Personally I find the Medical Exam to be a Freakin Joke..........

yes, it's xrays and tests or the communicable diseases that if found in an immigration applicant will be grounds for denial/not admitted to the US (check nvc website for complete list)

for instance, if HIV test turns out positive, that would be the end of the road for the applicant.

if however, all tests turn out negative and her physical and psych tests (if any) turn out good, applicant goes to next stage of medical w/c is vaccinations.

the physical also has an interview component to it, and it is meant to check for signs of physical /mental health or lack thereof (ex so many scars, tattoos that have significant negative meaning etc) signs of physical abuse etc
