How?

By forcing out one of the mainstream parties and finishing #2. Most third parties don't.

By that criteria the British National Party are viable. I'm getting a head shave and an appointment in the tattoo parlour.

It was what 46% to 49%? Thats pretty @^!^@# close. And proves the conservative party is viable.

All that shows is that in New Yorks northernmost congressional district which is 94% white and has not elected a democrat since the civil war, the conservative party is viable when the republican drops out of the race.

Yes, a conservative party is viable in New England. The one place where the modern GOP has a lot of trouble. Imagine the amount of a s s they'd kick down in Dixie.

I'd venture that the consensus political ideology in NY-23 is akin to that down in Dixie.

Yes, they ought to run Rubio (no shot) against Crist (good shot) next year for the US Senate seat. Splitting up the moderate right and extreme right vote on the right of center between those two candidates would dramatically improve the Democrat's odds of picking up a seat here in the Sunshine State. I encourage the Tea Party to put up a candidate. Good times, good times.

When the conservatives destroy Crist and he drops out - they're good to go.

In all honesty, even if they can't make Crist drop out, they should continue to compete. No new political movement achieves its potential without a few defeats.

They are ready for defeat. The expect it. Defeat will make them stronger.

I'm not making that up, I heard Rubio say those exact words.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

That is how movements are built. You can't come in and beat the establishment on the first try.

The defeat in NY23 did make them stronger. The Conservative party wasn't a player (in practical terms) before then. Now there's a little momentum.

I'm not making that up, I heard Rubio say those exact words.

1) Charlie isn't going anywhere unless the voters reject him.

2) Rubio is busy alienating the independents to win the approval of the right wing nuts.

3) Add 1 and 2 and you have the perfect recipe for a losing strategy. Or should I say strategery?

But as I said, make it happen. Good times.
