By that criteria the British National Party are viable. I'm getting a head shave and an appointment in the tattoo parlour.

Yes, they ought to run Rubio (no shot) against Crist (good shot) next year for the US Senate seat. Splitting up the moderate right and extreme right vote on the right of center between those two candidates would dramatically improve the Democrat's odds of picking up a seat here in the Sunshine State. I encourage the Tea Party to put up a candidate. Good times, good times.

He has a loooooong way to go to beat Charlie in the Republican primary. He won a number of straw polls across the state but Charlie still has a 50% approval rating with the GOP - Marco ranked at 20 some odd percent among GOP'ers. That's a huge gap to close for Marco Rubio and the papers here are already full of the gap between the actions (as House Speaker) and the rhetoric (as Senate candidate) of Marco Rubio. Granted, Charlie is running into consistency issues himself and has earned the ridicule of the media here for his poor attempts to distance himself from his on stage endorsement of the stimulus package earlier this year. Still, with inconsistency running high on both sides and Charlie holding a huge war chest, it will be quite some obstacle for Rubio to overcome.
