I will be filing for my K3 this week. Question about working if anyone has ran into this, I would appreciate any guidance.

I currently work in Canada, but my employer has agreed to transfer me my companies US based office once I get my Social Security number.

I know the K3 does not give me the auth to work. But since I can work remotely, once I have the K3, would it be considerered working illegally if I moved to US and use VPN to log into my Canadian Office to work? I would physically be in US, but technically still working for the Canadian office.

Anyone?

Angela

I am not sure how it works for that, I was told I was NOT allowed to visit or enter the US while my K3 was being processed... maybe someone else is more clear on that :) good luck

you cannot even tele-commute for a Canadian company while in the US without a work permit. You'll have to wait until you have your EAD unfortunately.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
