Wife got her visa... Can she work when she comes over now?

Timeline
My wife will be finally arriving on Tuesday on her IR-1 visa. When can she work, legally? Can she start immediately, or does she have to wait for the green card to come in the mail?

Didn't find the answer in the FAQ section...

Dang that was quick. You filed 130 on 09/02 and you already have a CR1 and to top things off you are already thinking about getting your SO employed.... Can everyone here borrow that magic wand??

Nov. 2009 -- GC for 2 yrs received

Jan. 2010 -- DL issued

May. 2011 --- graduated for my bachelor degree

Sept. 1, 2011 --- Driver License Renewed ( till 2017)

NO removal condition

Citizenship

Oct. 2011-------- Filed N400

Jan. 2012 ------ Biometrics and Interviewed at same time

Jan. 17 2012 ---- Sworn In

Hope so..Can't play this waiting game anymore.. Boy I feel like taking the next flight to NVC, getting it approved, and catching subsequent flight to consulate overseas with the file and telling them "here suckers, lets roll now"..But I've heard that NVC doesn't allow walk-ins ;) ..

2009-09-30 -> I-129 Approved

2009-09-30 -> I-130 Approved

2009-10-14 -> NVC Received

2009-10-15 -> Received/Sent DS-3032

2009-10-15 -> Received/Paid I-864 Bill

2009-10-19 -> Send I-864 Packet

2009-10-26 -> NVC Received DS-3032

2009-10-28 -> Receive/Pay IV Bill Pay

2009-10-29 -> Send DS-230 (Overnight)

2009-10-30 -> NVC Received (DS-230) 11:00 AM

2009-11-03 -> NVC Entered DS-230 in system.

2009-11-09 -> Received email requesting DS-230....

2009-11-12 -> Log in to Consular Electronic App Center failed!!

2009-11-13 -> Case complete

2010-01-12 -> Rescheduled from [2010-01-25] Interview [Approved]

2010-01-14 -> Pick up passport.

2010-01-17 -> Depart

lol first i am a girl. second processing paper is not so easy ur lucky if u got ur visa in 3 months
