Hello Guys I am Just A newbie here in Vj,But been reading the posts since two years ago,we applied our K1 third week of July,Last Oct 7 we got approved at the NVC,and we were eligible to book an interview, the only thing is we book the interview two months later and will be on DEC 1st,2009.

Now I am deciding to get my medical 3 weeks earlier as I will be having a period on the 20th and will only cleared up after 3 to 5 days completely,so it will be out of time for my medical as it has to be 1 week before the interview. Now I am going to get medical in an hour,I am asking for my fellows applicant all over the world to Please Pray for me for my medical and my incoming interview,I am honestly nervous right at the moment but also I know that GOD is with us together every Journey and I will surrender all my fears to him.

Thanks in advance GOD BLESS US ALL!

NO problem. My wife got her medical 1 1/2 months before her interview!!

Better if you go to St. Lukes after 12 noon.

you will be ok to get it done early. I'm hoping to be far enough along in the process to have my wife get her medical done when I visit her in February. I just sent the petition in last week.

We will pray for you. Don't worry too much, it's just tests. I know my wife is nervous now and we just started the process.

hello! am posting below my experience during the medical exam at st. luke's and the interview. had the interview a week after the medical exam. hope this can give you an insight of what to expect. good luck.

arrived at st. luke's extension clinic around 430am. around 50 people were already queuing. around 6am, the guard opened the clinic and distributed forms and Q numbers. i was 20 on the queue. around 7am, the US reception opened and people were asked to line up by 10s for the digital photo taking. you will need to bring to the clinic your notification from the embassy (have this photo copied) and 3 2x2 inch photos. only 1 will be submitted on the 1st day of the exam and the other 2 copies will be collected from you together with your passport when they release your chest x-ray (which by the way is in CD).

others were able to get their medical exam results the following day. for me, i got the result after 2 days. if everything's fine with your medical exam, you will be given your vaccines. you have the option to have it administered at st. luke's or upon your arrival in the US. since no additional cost will be charged if you have it done here, go for it na. sayang din.

during the physical exam, you will be asked about your medical history (see sample form), identify your chicken pox scar if you've had it already and any vaccine scar that you have on your arm (can't remember what it was for). for ladies, a breast exam including hemorrhoids will also be done. the doc will also ask you about any scar that is on your body.

be ready for a long wait. you may want to bring water and snack (yung madaling kainin) since you will not be able to go out in between your tests. i finished with the medical exam at 11am. the second day was not so bad but i had to wait 3.5hours at the releasing section before i got my x-ray cd.

interview 1 june 09 -- arrived at the US embassy in manila around 440am with my fiance. there were about 30 to 40 people already there. i suggest that you don't go there that early. you may arrive before 6am. the guard will ask people to line up around 6am depending on the time of the scheduled interview. before 630am, we were already inside the embassy. quite strict with the no cellphone or electronic gadget policy. bawal talaga ito.

before you get to talk to the consul, you will have to go through 3 queuing:

(1) to get you queue number and submit your DS156 & 157 forms. if you paid your visa fee at BDO, the bank will provide you a validated 157 form and the bank receipt.

(2) document submission -- birth cert, nbi/police clearance, cenomar, affidavit of support & related docs, DS156K.

(3) finger printing

----

(4) interview with the consul -- tip here: the questions you were asked during your document submission are the same questions the consul will ask you (sort of validation maybe). be consistent with your answers and know the documents you have submitted (i.e. emails, photos, chats) by heart. the consul will ask a test question so don't make up any answers if you are not sure.

sample questions:

- what did you do in singapore?

- where did you meet your fiance?

- when did you start to chat?

- when did you first meet each other?

- how many times have you met each other?

- how did he propose to you?

the interview took less than 10 minutes. the consul was very nice and gracious. i would give it a 5.

Hello Guys! Thanks alot for those who replied my post,I8 had done it arround 11am,and wasn't too bad as what I thought,This really took me a year of convincing my fiance to just live here in philippines so that I don't have to undergo with such needles,I am honestly very coward with needles and blood,So when they took my blood for the test I look so pale and I am so scared I might faint, the nurse were so nice when he so me biting my lips to get rid the tense she told me to drink a water and lean back to relax as I am so pale and almost ready to passed out.

The medical went smooth though not as bad as I heard from some people who experienced it,During the whole medical I was praying,And keep saying the possible name of our first kid that my fiance wants.Tommorow I have to go back at 7:30 for Vaccine,I will get 3 shots and I know it was soo bad but I'll take it for us to be together.

QUESTIONS:

The DR.told me that I will have vaccine tommorow ince I choosed to get it done here,Does it mean everything is fine with my physical exam, xray, and blood testing?

Now ,my left hand feeling so numb I felt like getting sick,Hopefully will be fine after I'll take a nap....

BY THE WAY,To those people above who answered my post THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!VERY THANK YOU! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THANKS YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING AND DIDN'T FOUNT IT HARD BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WERE WITH ME!GOD BLESSDEAR VJ'ers...
